Documentary Film Editor
Hello, I am Albert Vedeneev, a documentary film editor and filmmaker who transforms raw non-fiction footage into emotionally engaging, story-driven films.
Over the past four years, two feature-length documentaries have been released: «The So Called» (2022), a 72-minute film about 7 heroes living with multiple sclerosis that received very high audience ratings on KinoPoisk, and «Trivial Questions» (2025), a philosophical documentary currently on the festival circuit.

Background
With a background in cinematography, sound recording, directing, and education from the Leningrad Institute of Cinema Engineers (now Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television), I bring a structural approach and deep understanding of documentary production to every project. Experience as an operator, director, and photographer, along with participation in exhibitions and publications, helps to shape a visual language that balances authenticity, humor, empathy, and philosophical reflection.
Key strengths
Key strengths include responsibility, full-cycle awareness of documentary shooting and post-production, the ability to turn wedding or corporate footage into a true film, and readiness to shoot or reshoot material when needed. Genres of interest and expertise range from short and feature-length documentaries to documentary comedy and drama, motivational and philosophical documentaries, and character-driven portrait films.
Festival recognition and awards
include the «For The Sake Of Peace» prize (2023), quarter-finalist at SIFF Serbest International Film Festival (2023), semi-finalist at Cannes World Film Festival: Remember the Future (2023), as well as selections at Italy International Film Festival (2023) and Lift-Off Global Network Sessions (2023). Showreels are available on major video platforms, and English language skills allow collaboration with international teams and projects.
